2. Vietnam
The best part about Vietnam is that on the one hand, you have a huge megapolis like Ho Chi Minh, but if that’s too loud or too chaotic, move down to Da Nang. You still get breathtaking beaches, fantastic cuisine, and all the comforts you’ll ever need without all the hustle and bustle. You can connect with your co-workers from anywhere, grab a quick coffee, eat absurdly good food for dinner, and later, take a beach walk along the coast when you need a reset. It never gets boring, and that goes a long way when you’re trying not to lose your mind while working abroad.
3. Indonesia
Indonesia is an obvious contender here, but you may want to pick a spot that’s away from all the loud parties. Think Ubud, Sidemen, or quieter parts of Uluwatu. They’re all fantastic choices, with lots of beautiful spots to visit, making freelancing feel like you’re living your best life. The scenery is probably the biggest attraction when it comes to Indonesia. Thick jungles, vast rice fields, and stunning ocean views are just a small part of what makes this country so desirable. Then there’s the architecture, ancient temples, and millennia-old history, which are all excellent reasons to go outside and relax. Regardless of how you approach it, it’s an excellent choice.
