15 Haunted Places to Visit Around The World (2 of 3)

Recoleta Cemetery Buenos Aires, Daytime, Sky, Temple, Building

Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires, Argentina

This one has a story attached to it that’s actually genuinely horrifying. Back in 1902, a girl called Rufina Cambaceres was buried here. Sadly, she wasn’t quite dead at the moment of her burial. The day after the burial her coffin was found with the lid broken, and ever since many visitors have claimed to see her roaming the graveyard.

Eden Brown Estate Nevis, Plant, Sky, Cloud, Building, Wood, Natural landscape

The Eden Brown Estate in St. Kitts

I know that things like “haunted sugar plant estate” don’t really sound all that scary, but that’s exactly what the Eden Brown estate is. It was supposed to be gifted to the owner’s daughter when she got married, but for some reason her fiancé got caught up in a duel with his best man where for even more mysterious reasons both men died. The daughter can still be felt walking around the property.

White Witch Of Rose Hall, Plant, Sky, Window, Building, Cloud

Rose Hall Plantation in Montego Bay, Jamaica

The White Witch is the most famous Jamaican ghost and she lives here. Naturally, this all has to do with voodoo. The White Witch killed three of her husbands when she was alive, and was then cursed in death so her spirit would never leave her tomb. Her spirit did leave the tomb, yet it’s apparently unable to leave the mansion.

La Citadelle De Québec, Sky, Building, Plant, Tree

Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, Canada

There’s nothing quite like going to a hotel where two ghosts never check out, is there? You can either run into a ghost that likes to pay you a visit while you sleep, or another one that roams the halls in the evenings looking for his fiancée. Or you can just get a different hotel. It’s Quebec, they have plenty.

Dublinia, Sky, Cloud, Building

Dublin, Ireland

Not unlike the formerly mentioned New Orleans, this is also a city that has a rich history of weird stories and folklore. You can pretty much pick your poison here: a castle that’s haunted by a jester and a lady in white, a crypt where people have reported feeling cold fingers across their necks, or a pub where a ghost occasionally grabs a pint.
