The Origins of an Ambitious Calgarian

Pollievre was born on June 3, 1979, in Calgary, Alberta, to a single teenage mother who put him up for adoption. His adopted parents, both school teachers, raised him in the city’s suburbs. The gratitude he has for them for having adopted him shaped his belief that it is the community and not the government that provides the best safety net.
