Unintended Shade Thrown

Actress Anne Hathaway found herself in some controversy when she “threw shade” at the Kardashians. We use air quotes for that as Hathaway explained it wasn’t her intention and she apologizes for it. We even got a post documenting it too.

It all started when Hathaway posted a meme to Instagram with the words, “In a world of Kardashians be a Helena Bonham Carter,” overlaying a photo of the latter.

She was hoping for positive messages but found out that people were accusing her of condemning the Kardashians. Not long after, the post was taken down and replaced with a new one as a form of apology.

This new photo reads, “Post removed for unintended shade thrown.” There was even a caption that read, “It never occurred to me I was pitting anyone against each other. Not my style. Peace x.”

Harry Styles’ Headdress

It’s rare to find Harry Styles in controversy, however there is one that stands out from his scandals. One of his posts on Instagram was Styles posing in a Native American headdress, which sparked rage and controversy amongst his fans.

Even if he was making a silly face, this sort of stuff isn’t something to be joking about. To put it lightly, a fan on Twitter wrote “cultural appropriation is not nice, regardless of context or intent. Let’s leave it at that.”

The Skinny Children

What started off as Kristin Cavallari’s Fourth of July Instagram post quickly became a photo that sparked controversy. It was an innocent enough picture of her family at the beach, but people remarked how her kids were so skinny.

It got to the point where some called them “obviously nutritionally deficient,” which didn’t sit too well with Cavallari. She hit back hard with the comment, “Yep, I starve my children. Just blocked the most people I’ve ever blocked in my entire life. Happy 4th hahaha.”

The “Black Face”

Kylie Jenner got hit by more controversy, particularly in one of her 2015 posts. She was posting pictures from one her photoshoots and people started to look too far into the effects. From the shot the dark effects that were used prompted her followers to think she was wearing black face.

This has sparked a lot of controversy to this day with many people accusing her while other defending her. Jenner has stated that “This is a black light and neon lights people lets all calm down.”

Kim Kardashian Topless

Spend any time around any of the Kardashian’s accounts and you’ll know they’ll do anything to get attention. Kim Kardashian has made a point of this in many instances. It’s to the point that any fan knows that she tends to show off a lot of her skin.

And in some cases, she exposes way too much of it causing her fans to feel uncomfortable. One such instance was a post where she posted a picture of her topless to her feed. Included was the caption suggesting her 4-year-old daughter, North, was taking her picture. A user commented, “I wonder how many people would get social services called on them if this was anyone else but Kim K?? This is subpar parenting.”

It sparked controversy as another user amongst others explained “How is this bad? My mom used to change in front of me all the time. It’s normal with moms and daughters, at least where I’m from. Maybe North was just playing with the camera when Kim was changing. It’s normal, y’all. Stop reaching.”
