10. Susana Duijm

Miss Venezuela 1955, Carmen Susana Duijm Zubillaga was among the top 15 at the Miss Universe pageant that year. But lest you think she responded by quietly walking off into the Sunset of Shame, she went on to win Miss World, becoming the first Latina to do so. She went on to become a popular actress in Venezuela, living to the ripe age of 79. Oh, and she even has an arepa – a type of cornmeal cake – named in her honor.
