Think of all the awesome things that $200,000 gets you. A couple of days in Dubai. A piece of property the size of a single parking spot in Beverly Hills. Or a worthless liberal arts degree in philosophy at some pretentious college in New England. But it was also the price tag for owning the leotard that Christopher Reeve wore in “Superman III,” one of the worst Superman movies of all-time (which is saying a lot as the list is pretty extensive). There was really not much to the costume, which is why the extremely high bid at auction came as a big surprise. Indeed, it was only expected to fetch around $30,000.

If you ask Chris Evans which of the outfits from his multiple Captain America movies is his favorite, he’ll say the all-navy suit from “The Winter Soldier” and it isn’t even up for debate. But this isn’t to say that it’s the most valuable. In fact, the suit from the first Captain America movie “The First Avenger” fetched an impressive $228,000 at an auction in 2012, which was around $30,000 more than they had predicted. It was also about $100,000 more than what the “Autopsy” armor in Iron Man 2 sold for. We just hope there’s no bad blood between friends!
