6 Superheroes That Cost a Fortune To Dress (2 of 4)

It’s expensive being Valkyrie

When audiences first got a chance to see Tessa Thompson on the big screen as the “girl power” badass Valkyrie in “Thor: Ragnarok,” they instantly fell in love. Chris Hemsworth is a charismatic actor in his own right, so it says a lot that Thompson stole the show. However, it came at a price… literally. After finishing the principal production of “Ragnarok,” Thompson began filming her next movie “Sorry To Bother You,” which required her to dye her hair all unicorn-like. But there was a problem: when she was called back to the set of the Thor movie for re-shoots, they certainly couldn’t pull an Ed Wood and have Valkyrie randomly wear a completely new hairstyle for the scenes, so a wig had to be purchased. In this case, it cost a whopping $10,000 to replicate the character’s long, dark hair. But something tells us Disney had no problem affording it, but then again who knows?

Six figures for the bat suit? No thanks!

One of the perks of playing Batman is wearing that kickass suit. The tens of millions of dollars you’d make probably doesn’t hurt either. But anyway, once production on “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” came to a close, Ben Affleck asked if he could take his Batsuit home forever and ever. As he explained on an appearance on Live with Kelly and Michael in 2014, the answer was “yes,” but he’d need to pay $100,000 for that privilege. (We don’t know what you guys think, but for that price, that damn thing better be able to glide through the air and withstand machine gun fire at point-blank range). Even though Affleck is worth an estimated $130 million, this price was apparently too steep for him to handle. Or maybe he just didn’t want to own a piece of Hollywood memorabilia that caused so much pain and humiliation. “Dawn of Justice” was a really, really, really crappy movie, is what we’re trying to say.
