The French Dispatch

There are many Oscar contenders this year, but one that’s on top of critics’ short list of considerations is this flick. It was one of the films expected to be out in 2020, but has since been pushed to being released this year. Nevertheless, this Wes Anderson directed movie is described as “a love letter to journalists set at an outpost of an American Newspaper in 20th-century Paris and centers on three storylines.”

As you’d expect in an Anderson directed film, you’ve got an all-star ensemble lineup with Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Steve Park, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, and many of the director’s many other regular favorites.

Expect to see this roll out in May this year.

Though the Avengers lost Black Widow in Avengers: Endgame, that wasn’t the last time Scarlett Johansson would be playing as Natasha Romanoff. In her first stand-alone film, we are going back in time to see what her life was like back at home. In the timeline, this film takes part after the events of Captain America: Civil War where Romanoff has to deal with the familial fallout that she left behind. It’s at this time where Florence Pugh and David Harbour make their debuts in the Marvel universe. This film will be coming out early May this year.

However, there will be two major developments that’ll shake things up; a dangerous Top Gun mission, and the arrival of his late best friend Goose’s son.
