Walk As Much as Possible
This tip is very simple, and it is a key element of nearly every vacation that I take. I forgo Uber, buses and the subways whenever possible. I often make it a habit to walk from the airport to my hotel, such as when I visited San Diego, Las Vegas and Mexico City, where it only required an hour’s walk. During my numerous trips to New York City, my morning begins with selecting a highly-rated coffee place that’s no closer than 45 minutes away. This gives me motivation to walk since I’m a huge coffee lover, and by the time I get there I’ve already taken 6,000 steps and walked 3 miles (4.8km), even though my day is just getting started!
Choose accommodations with a kitchen or kitchenette
Eating out for all your meals can make weight loss travel very difficult. You aren’t in control of the cooking process, which means you’re at the mercy of the chef as they put generous amounts of butter, cream, and other high-fat ingredients into your food. But if you stay at a hotel or apartment that contains a kitchen, you can prepare healthy meals the way you like them!
