Once Again, Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala Dress Causes Internet Uproar!

Kim Kardashian is no stranger to daring fashion choices at the Met Gala, with varying levels of success. However, at the 2024 event, she truly outdid herself, becoming the talk of the night with a jaw-dropping illusion. Kim appeared on the red carpet in a corset dress that seemed to defy the laws of physics, showcasing an impossibly tiny waist.

Though her outfit didn’t stir up the same controversy as her 2022 Marilyn Monroe look or her 2019 wet dress by Thierry Mugler, it still sparked plenty of discussion. Kim arrived in a custom creation by John Galliano for Maison Margiela, pairing her cinched waist with a pillowy cardigan. Social media quickly buzzed with comments about her seemingly uncomfortable appearance, noting her blue-tinged lips and pale complexion. One user quipped that she looked like she’d just come from the hospital after rib removal surgery, while another criticized the look for promoting unrealistic body standards.

Kardashian and shapewear have always been inseparable—after all, she founded Skims—and she’s clearly willing to go the extra mile for a high-profile event like the Met Gala.

Despite the backlash, some fans applauded Kim’s dedication to old Hollywood glamour, praising her commitment to the extreme aesthetic. “Breathing in that corset is an art form,” Kim admitted, highlighting her willingness to endure discomfort for the sake of fashion.

The cardigan draped over her shoulders also attracted criticism, with some calling it a “kindergarten teacher” sweater that appeared “raggedy.” Many speculated that it was covering up a wardrobe malfunction. Kim, however, had a different story. “Wildest night of my life in a garden, and I just ran out and grabbed my boyfriend’s sweater and threw it on and had to get to work, and my hair’s all messed up,” she added, laughing.

Despite the varied reactions, one thing is certain: Kim Kardashian knows how to make an impression, turning heads and sparking conversations wherever she goes.
