Chairman’s Steakhouse

McRae has called this fancy restaurant “the best steakhouse in Calgary.” For the price you pay (upwards of $300 for a meal, plus tip) it better be. Along with choice cuts of beef, they also serve lambshank, tenderloin, steelhead trout, and seared chicken breast. Make sure to arrive dressed for success. They have a strict dress code that forbids shorts, flipflops, torn jeans, hoodies, and baseball caps.

Nakiska

A ski resort located around an hour from downtown Calgary, McRae has said this was the place she would go to get in a half day of skiing done on a free day. She also describes the toboggan park as a place you need to visit during the winter. And during the warmer months (with “warm” being relative in a place like Calgary), you can go on nature hikes or play 18 rounds of golf.
