8. Perth to Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia

If your goal is to visit places that few humans have explored (but doesn’t involve confronting pythons in the Amazon Rainforest), give Western Australia a try. You’ll begin your journey in Perth, one of the world’s most isolated major cities, and make your way up north to the Ningaloo Reef. You won’t see a whole lot of people along the way, but there will be plenty of beautiful natural wonders including Pinnacles National Park. You also won’t want to miss out on the kangaroos at the Sal Salis eco park!

9. Norway’s Atlantic Road

This road connects Averoy Island with mainland Norway through eight bridges that also go through several small islands and islets. When the skies are blue, you’re in for an easy drive. But when it is stormy, the ocean water can crash the bottom of your vehicle, although it’s still perfectly safe. Regardless, it’s guaranteed to be quite a trip!

10. Vancouver to Tofino, British Columbia

When it comes to road trips, the last thing you probably imagine is one involving a ferry ride, but we’re here to prove that nothing in this world is impossible. Your car joins you as a passenger on this ship as it begins in Vancouver, crosses the Strait of Georgia, and makes its way through a forest and mountain before making it onto Vancouver Island. The second leg of the trip that ultimately ends in Tofino involves stopping at Klitsa Mountain with its stunning views of the Alberni Valley below.
