20 Wishful Technologies That Will Never See the Light of Day (4 of 5)

The question ‘Are portable portals possible?’ shall always be ‘Out of syllabus’ for mankind

Witcher 3 I Hate Portals, Lighting

The concept of portability has been beguiling ever since it was deemed a possibility by prognosticators. It demonstrated the concept of the ability to form wormholes and transporting yourself through that, to a whole different dimension. Look at it this way, if you keep creating wormholes and traveling through them, you can practically keep slipping from one place to another endlessly, like a bouncing IP address used by the Dark Net. Or you can even travel back and forth in a jiffy between two places. But till today, the whole science and prospect of wormholes are unsteady, so the chances of us ever being able to travel through portals are next to none.

Teleportation shall always make it to one’s wishlist, but it intends on staying there

Portal In The Sky Background, Atmosphere, Water, Light, Blue, World, Black

The hypothesis of this idea was put in place back in 1935 by Albert Einstein and his colleagues, Boris Podolsky and Nathan Rosen which demonstrated the possibility of having an object at the same time at two different places, like two halves of a whole.

Not only does it require delineating of atoms, but it also violates the limit of the speed of light.

Collect the pieces of your broken heart as you wrap your mind around the thought of the impossibility of such a phenomenon!

Ant-Man can use the shrinking technology to turn small, you can’t

Ant Man Shrink, Toy

Let’s just say that leaving the work of shrinking technology to Hank Pym with his infamous potion containing ‘Pym’ particles(the famous doctor in Marvel Universe to have mastered the invention of the shrinking technology) is the best possible way to deal with the misery that dawns upon us with the realization, that shrinking technology is probably never going to set it’s foot amongst man, as long as the sun exists. An atom’s size can’t be diminished; neither can the bond length.

Time travel shall always be restricted to being a tale as old as time

Time Travelling, World

Contrary to the popular belief that a machine might be devised someday that favors traveling in time if it succeeds to move with the speed of light, it just isn’t possible.

Blatant as it may seem, as aforementioned, catching up to light’s speed is next to impossible. So, the dream of traveling back and forth in time shall always be ancient and forever prevalent.
