Fahrenheit 451 — Wireless Headphones
Wireless headphones are so prevalent today that it’s become really difficult to find quality headphones of the corded variety. But when Ray Bradbury’s dystopian novel “Fahrenheit 451” came out in 1953, the author fully anticipated that wireless headphones would become a reality, even envisioning that they would be used to listen to music and people talking. What’s especially impressive is that even wired stereo headphones hadn’t been invented yet — they would first be introduced five years later.

2001: A Space Odyssey — Smart Tablets
In Stanley Kubrick’s groundbreaking 1968 film “2001: A Space Odyssey,” the spaceship crew uses smart tablets to watch movies and TV shows. What’s especially nuts about Kubrick’s prediction is that he even nailed the correct year! It was 2001 when Microsoft introduced the Tablet PC, although it was admittedly more primitive than the tablets we use today for all of our entertainment and communication needs.
