2. He goes through repeated cycles of giving you attention followed by radio silence

In a budding relationship, you should at least expect a routine “Checking in on you” message or a brief call during his lunch break. But if he goes through periods where he’s texting you a lot and then disappears for days on end, that’s a reason for concern. This unpredictable pattern is enough to make you wonder what his motivation is. For a relationship to work, the communication has to be consistent. If he only contacts you when he wants something and disappears when you want to get serious, it’s fair to wonder how much you matter and if he does the same to other women. Trust your instincts and move on. 

3. His social media posts never include you

Not everybody is active on social media, so if the guy you’re seeing has a quiet account or none at all, that isn’t automatically cause for concern. On the other hand, if he’s active enough to regularly share things about his life but never acknowledges that you’re a part of it even after you’ve been dating for a while, it gives the impression that he is hiding something. Even more alarming is if he acts weirdly defensive when you try to post photos of the two of you together. A guy who is in a committed relationship should have zero issue with a few public signs that it exists.
