Before you go through with this idea, a little disclaimer is in order. You first would have to be absolutely confident that your partner would be comfortable with having such a public proposal AND you’d want to be certain that they’ll say yes. If you are sure they will, then go for it! Imagine the look on their face when they enter the house and see your friends and family standing there with engagement balloons and a “Will You Marry Me” sign! Christmas would be a great time to do this, especially if the proposal is taking place in their childhood home.
Of course, if you want to avoid potential risks, you could propose to them privately while your friends and family wait at a restaurant, ready to celebrate when the answer is “Yes!”
5. Propose on Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is already the day of romance, so why not make it a special day that the two of you can share forever as the day you proposed to them? Give them their chocolate and roses as usual, but then add that engagement ring as well!
