Make sure to check your receipt

Although very rare, anomalies in receipts are a thing. It could be that the cashier mistakenly scans the same barcode twice or the employee in charge of updating the prices of products misreads and punches a higher value. They do work for long shifts and man is liable to err. You may hate doing it but a few seconds is all it takes!
Ditch the cart and grab the basket
While a cart is more convenient than a basket which makes you carry all the weight you are going to buy, we have a valid reason for encouraging you to opt for the lesser convenient option. Since there is a limit to the weight you can walk around carrying, the chances of you dumping unneeded items to your basket would be significantly diminished.
The word ‘sale’ doesn’t mean you can’t leave without buying

There is nothing wrong with checking out the stores that try to lure you in with a banner having ‘sale’ written on it placed by their entrance. But don’t be fooled and make a purchase just because they are offering products at half the marked price. What many sellers do is hike the price and then offer a discount to get rid of unsold inventory. Give some thought and get anything only if you think you are being charged reasonably and it is of use to you.
