Why Most Ergonomic Chairs Still Can’t Prevent Back Pain (4 of 4)

So What Actually Helps?

The longevity of your back lies in setups that encourage movement. Adjust your chair to meet your needs, but don’t expect that you’ll be sitting in it like a store mannequin for eight hours straight. Change posture often. Stand up regularly. Take short walking breaks. Do some stretches, roll your shoulders, and don’t forget to hydrate.

Don’t expect a piece of office furniture, however cheap or expensive, to solve all your problems. Your back doesn’t want perfection. It wants support, variety, and movement.
