Peacock

There’s no debate that peacocks are striking birds that make for good live yard ornaments. Peacocks are also relatively easy to tame. But affectionate and cuddly they are not. And so it comes as somewhat of a surprise that an artist in Brooklyn claims a peacock named Dexter as her emotional support animal and has even taken him onto flights. In fairness, artists are rarely meant to be understood.

Tarantula

Keeping a tarantula as a pet has gained popularity in recent years, with some even elevating their bond to the status of an emotional support animal. There are tons of Facebook group pages about it. In one of them, a therapist posted on how his tarantula has helped him with his ongoing anxiety. We’re still not sold, but whatever floats his boat!
