6. Avocado Pit-infused Shampoo
Store-bought shampoos are costly and tend to contain a lot of the same sketchy ingredients that you’ll find in laundry detergent. A far better solution is to just make your own shampoo, and if you’ve got some avocado pits lying around, they’ll do the trick. Start by rinsing three pits and allowing them to dry. Next, grate them in a pot, add six cups of water, bring to a boil, and simmer for around 30 minutes. Allow it to cool and strain into a jar. When it’s time to wash your hair, mix this concoction with 2 ounces of natural shampoo, and you’re good to go!

7. Avocado Pit Bling-Bling
Fun fact: If you dry and bake an avocado pit, it develops a lovely brownish-pink hue that makes it perfect for necklaces, earrings, brooches and the like. In fact, if you go on Etsy, you’ll notice that plenty of people make good money selling avocado pit jewelry. Why not join them and make some yourself? You’re taking an item that would otherwise be discarded and making a piece of one-of-a-kind jewelry that you can call your own!
