The Meat Dress

Lady Gaga is known for her unusual fashion choices. See her in public or in music videos, and her outfits are unlike most outfits you’ll find.

That being said, some of her outfits can flop big time. The most notable one is the meat dress she wore in 2010 VMAs. It was designed by Argentine designer Fanc Fernandez. To make this dress, they took 40 pounds of thin cut Argentinian meat.

As for why she went for this choice, Lady Gaga explains in a conversation on Ellen DeGeneres show. “If we don’t stand up for what we believe in and if we don’t fight for our rights, pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And I am not a piece of meat.”

Good point, but certainly conveyed in the worst way possible.

Taylor Swift’s Lack Of Patience

2013 revealed a lot of things about various celebrities. Some events further solidified a quirk. Take Taylor Swift. These days we know her songs, especially ones pertaining to love or breaking up, involve someone in her life.

This we presume is the case with her behaviour in 2013 when One Direction took the stage during the 2013 VMAs. During their time, you could see Taylor Swift not being excited about the whole thing. Probably because Harry Styles was up there.

Her patience for him was clearly wearing thin as she turned to Selena Gomez at one point and said “Shut the f*ck up.” Also later that night when she got her award for Best Female Video, she thanked “the person who inspired this song because he knows exactly who he is.”

Nip Slipping Miley

Miley makes another appearance, though at another point in time. Instead of 2013, it’s 2015 and MTV decided that it would be a bright idea to make her the host of that year’s show.

Why they did that we have no idea.

Either way, things were going along smoothly, until she was tasked with introducing a segment. The unfortunate part was that she was getting changed during that and opened up with “Oh sorry. My t*t’s out?”

The Pop Star War

2015 had all kinds of drama with Kanye being Kanye. Another point of drama was between Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus. First Nicki’s “Anaconda” video failed to receive a nomination for Video of the Year.

In her frustration, Nicki tweeted that the show “only celebrates women with very slim bodies.”

This caused Miley to start an interview with the New York Times stating that her comments weren’t polite and that Nicki didn’t have to spark a pop star against pop star war. This didn’t sit well with Nicki clearly and she voiced her opinion days later once she got onto the stage.

Crying Justin Bieber

Whether it was all of the drama or something else, 2015’s VMAs clearly broke Justin Bieber. It is certainly a weird moment and there are theories revolving around this but Justin Bieber cried after his performance of “What Do You Mean?”

My only theory is that Justin wasn’t used to the kind of treatment he received. This makes sense when you consider the interview he gave with Jimmy Fallon. He stated he felt overwhelmed and that he wasn’t expecting so much support from the audience. The last time he performed, he was booed.

So to see that, he couldn’t help but well up from it.
