Eclipsing
Well, as the term suggests, it means when you shadow your own interests, desires, likes and dislikes to match them up with your date. When on a date, you may tend to cover up your own interests, so that you find some common ground of conversation or to carry on dating them, then you are eclipsing yourself. You’re hiding the real you just for a date. Never. Ever. Eclipse. Yourself.
Type-casting
Well, speaking of interests, you will obviously try to find someone who matches your interests or has the same opinions as you. You take up plenty of surveys, list down your likes and dislikes, and read articles for finding your soulmate. You have every right to do so, but you are actually limiting yourself by type-casting. You shouldn’t make pigeon holes for The One. Always remembers, opposites attract!
The Yellow Card
When you’ve been glamboozled or dial-toned or Kanye’d, you can always call them out for their lack of empathy and manners. If you’ve ever called out someone for their bad dating manners, you’ve given them a yellow card, and you should do that if you feel so. Unfortunately, not many singles have given a yellow card to their unmannered dates.
