Even though the movie was based on a very interesting premise, the lack of a decent storyline meant that the movie was panned by the critics totally.

ARQ

Arq Movie Poster, Flash photography, Lighting

Rotten Tomatoes score – 43%

ARQ revolves around a couple who find themselves trapped in a time loop after they’ve made a major breakthrough in modern technology. Their struggle to get out of the time loop without losing the technology is what the flick is all about. Even though the premise was quite similar to Primer and Edge of Tomorrow, the overall story felt quite flat in terms of delivery and was quite heavily criticized by the fans and audiences alike.

When We First Met

Film When We First Met, Gesture

Rotten Tomatoes score – 38%

When We First Met is a romantic comedy that involves Noah spending a perfect night with Avery only to find out the next morning that he was friend-zoned. In order to find out what went wrong, he decides to go back in time and fix it to get it right this time around. The movie isn’t even half as interesting as it sounds, and in fact, feels more like a bad date that you go through over and over again.

Extinction

Extinction Film, Building, World

Rotten Tomatoes score – 33%

Starring Michael Pena in the leading role, who plays a working-class dad in this movie, the story revolves around him getting a recurring nightmare that the world was soon to be hit by a very powerful, destructive force. Soon, he has a realization that all of it could be a clue of ancient alien attacks on Earth. Even though it sounds fun enough, it isn’t. One of the critics very rightly summed up this movie as a B-Movie having the attitude of a heavyweight movie, and not in a good way.
