A list of 20 nineties classics that you should definitely watch again (2 of 5)

Good Will Hunting (1997)

GOOD WILL HUNTING, Robin Williams, Matt Damon, 1997

Good Will Hunting is the story of a young man who struggles to find his identity and is good at solving any problem – except the one brewing inside him. The movie was written and directed by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon – both of whom were newcomers at that time. The plot revolves around a young man – a self-taught genius who works as a janitor at MIT, whose brilliance goes unnoticed until he solves a difficult mathematics problem one day.

Standout line – “You’ll have bad times, but it’ll always wake you up to the good stuff you weren’t paying attention to.”

Reservoir Dogs (1992)

Reservoir Dogs, Suit trousers, Tie, Gesture

A Quentin Tarantino classic that’s told in a non-linear way, Reservoir Dogs follows the story of six thugs who are hired to carry out a robbery at a jewelry store. The best part is, they are all strangers to one another. The job seems like an easy one for these criminals, but the cops end up busting the party before it even takes off. That means there is definitely a mole amongst them, but who is it?

Standout line – “I don’t wanna kill anybody. But if I gotta get out that door, and you’re standing in my way, one way or the other, you’re gettin’ outta my way.”

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)

Austin Powers, Forehead, Glasses, Smile, Lip, Vision care, Outerwear, Eyebrow, Eyewear, Ear, Happy

This hilarious, laugh-out-comedy had two sequels and was one of the most liked movies of the ‘90s era. The story revolves around a ‘60s era spy, Austin Powers, who was cryogenically frozen for 30 years and has finally been released in the ‘90s in order to stop the notorious Dr. Evil, who plans to destroy the world. What follows is completely hilarious and will keep you laughing throughout the movie.

Standout line – “Yeah, baby!”

The Sixth Sense (1999)

Sixth Sense, Picture frame, Microphone, Organ

The Sixth Sense stars Bruce Willis in the leading role who works as a child psychologist, and who is trying to help a child who sees dead people. If you haven’t seen it already, watch it right now! Or, if you are easily scared, watch it during the daytime, but watch it anyway.

Standout line – “I see dead people.”
