13 Celebrity Liars Who Got Caught On Social Media

There are a lot of things that the internet gets riled up about. These days it’s important to be careful about what you say and that especially applies to the celebrities. Unfortunately, not all celebrities are great at managing their social media accounts. From some celebrities flat out lying about their lifestyle to photoshopping a thigh gap in their Instagram pictures.

Based on this list, there is no level that a celebrity would stop to lie about anything. Unfortunately for them, some dedicated fans called them out and started a mass argument amongst other fans and supporters. Below is but a short list out of the multitude of lies that celebrities have said over the years and got called out for.

Bow Wow – I Own A Private Jet, Believe Me

May 2017, the artist formerly known as Lil’ Bow Wow snapped a shot of a private jet and sent it to his Instagram followers. Along with a car in the picture, he had the caption “Travel day. NYC press run for Growing Up Hip Hop. Let’s gooo. I promise to bring yall the hottest show EVER. May 25th on @wetv.”

Something must’ve been wrong with his “private jet” or he made a bare face lie because while he posted that, a fan took a picture of him hopping onto a commercial flight to NYC at the time. The fan snapped that shot and posted it to Twitter without the celebrity knowing.

Shortly after that, the truth came out and the unnecessary lie sprang the #BowWowChallenge. This challenge embraces the ways in which everyone can put an effort to make their lives look more glamorous on social media.

Khloé Kardashian – The Buyer Of Baked Goods

In an attempt to connect with more people, Khloé Kardashian took a bold step to appear as a baker. One Thanksgiving, she snapped a shot of three pies and claimed that she was slaving away all day making these pies to her Instagram followers. The picture captured a pumpkin, pecan, and cherry pie with the following caption:

“I am sooooo proud of myself lol can I say that??? I filmed on a tripod, in my kitchen a lot of me baking and prepping for today so I will have that up on my app soon!!! I love testing myself and seeing what I can accomplish and actually make successfully! Now let’s pray it tastes as great as they look! This monkey bread is going to be so f—ing bomb ????????”

TMZ found the picture and did some digging. It didn’t take long for them to find out that the pies weren’t made by Khloé Kardashian, but by someone else. It seems that Khloé placed an order to the Sweet Lady Jane bakery in Los Angeles and went to the store to pick them up. But before she picked them completely, she put together a little photo shoot to give the impression she was slaving away in the kitchen for these pies.

Kim Kardashian – The Thirst For Attention Is Real

In July 2015, Kim Kardashian was thirsty for more comments and likes on her posts. In an attempt to garner attention she posted a picture of herself clad in a bikini to lure people into her thirst trap.

The problem is that she was being too transparent about the whole thing that the lie got more attention than the actual picture. In order to cover up that her post was a trap, she thought to lie that her own kid – North – took the picture while she was playing on Kim’s phone several months ago.

For sure, the Kardashians generally post flattering pictures of themselves, so why lie about this one in particular? Not to mention just how literate can a toddler be to go onto Instagram and scroll through months of pictures before landing on this one? It’s highly suspicious and outright weird.
