When the makers of X-Men decided to make a movie on Wolverine, it was considered to earn huge successes. However, the first two installments of the franchise were not as expected. It’s the third, and the last, that earned not only critical acclaim, but also huge commercial success. Starring Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart as Wolverine and Charles Xavier respectively, the movie truly deserves to sit at the top spot in list, amongst the X-Men movies. An aging Wolverine along with a critically ill Charles Xavier fight against the odds to save a young mutant girl from the world of bad people. It was especially praised for the way it handled a superhero genre movie with so much emotion and depth.
Call Me by Your Name (2017); 95 percent
Final installment in the Desire trilogy by the director Luca Guadagnino, Call Me By Your Name is a romantic drama and coming of age story. The movie is set in the Italy of 1983, where a seventeen-year-old falls in love with a twenty-four-year-old graduate. The movie explores the emotions of first love, and in this case, set in a LGBTQIA+ community. Thanks to its mature and deeply emotional handling of this sensitive topic, the movie earned great reviews and won several awards, including the Oscars, BAFTA and Writers Guild of America, amongst others.
The Shape of Water (2017); 92 percent

A Guillermo del Toro directed movie; The Shape of Water is considered by many critics as the best movie of the 21st century. The tale of a romantic fantasy/dark movie, the story traces the love story between a mute cleaner and a part-human part-amphibian creature at a top-security government facility. The movie was especially praised for its great cinematography, and top quality acting by Sally Hawkins. The movie went on to win several Oscars, for the best director, best picture, best original score and for best production design.
Incredibles 2 (2018); 94 percent
After the huge commercial and critical success, the first installment of the Incredibles received in 2004, the second was definitely expected to surpass it – and it did, quite handsomely. Incredibles 2, sequel to the 2004 movie, cashed in on the magic of the first movie and mesmerized the audiences for the second time – this time, even more. The movie was loved by critics and audiences alike, and it went on to become the 2nd highest grossing animated film of all time, and 15th highest grossing film ever.

A unique take on the Hollywood of the 1920s, Singin’ in the Rain stars Debbie Reynolds and Gene Kelly. The movie was especially well known for its amazing mix of sound design and cinematography that made this musical an all time classic. It continues to be loved by audiences all over the world, and is also a part of the Library of Congress.
