Known for his own unique way of directing fun movies, this Thor movie was full of wit and humor, and it ended up being loved immensely by the audiences and critics alike. Thor: Ragnarok mainly revolves around Thor – the god of Thunder, Hela – the goddess of death and how the former tries to prevent Ragnarok (apocalypse) to his world. This 17th flick in the MCU definitely won more critics for the franchise than it ever did before.

 

 

The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938); 100 percent

Who doesn’t love the age-old tale of the heroic Robin Hood, and how he led a brutal fight against the rich oppressors. Starring Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland in leading roles, The Adventures of Robin Hood was loved by people and critics immensely. The top notch acting performances, great music and soundtrack, and on point direction made this movie a blockbuster that it is. The movie was nominated for several awards, and ended up winning three Oscars.

 

 

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937); 98 percent

Disney has given us many reasons to smile and enjoy great stories, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is probably the best for many people around the world. Based on the German story by the same name, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is said to be the first movie to have hand-drawn animation (cel-animation) in an entire movie. The film was released in the year 1937, and thanks to its amazing story and great music, it shattered all previous box office records, and became the highest grosser with a whopping $8 million at the time!

There have been numerous instances of the King Kong story being told on the big screen, but for many, this 1933 classic remains the best version. King Kong is rated amongst the top five horror movies ever, by Rotten Tomatoes, and rightly so. The story revolves around a super large ape-like creature who over time falls in love with a woman who was sacrificed to him by other island dwellers. The movie was especially praised for its groundbreaking visual effects. In fact, the visual effects were so amazing that it was after this release that the Academy decided to introduce a category for visual effects in 1938!

 

 

Nosferatu (1922); 97 percent

Another take on the classic Dracula story, a character written by Bram Stoker, Nosferatu is a German movie in the horror genre starring Max Schreck in the leading role. However, before the movie could gain any praise from around the world, it was found out that the movie was not an authorized adaptation of the book. The movie producers were sued and the movie copies deleted – except a few that were snuck out. Those who have watched this movie consider it as amongst the best horror movie they have ever seen.
