“It was kind of cathartic for me to write it,” said Biden, a now 74-year-old college English professor. “I wrote about all of the, you know, painful, but other times, most of it really beautiful moments that Joe and I shared during his presidency.”
She went on to explain that parts of the story have been shared before, but not all of it in its entirety. She claimed that her memoir provides “ a more balanced” viewpoint of what happened behind the closed doors of the White House.
“I have put things in perspective,” she said. The memoir is scheduled to be released June 2 and is being lauded as one of her most personal works ever released. Sources have cited that the memoir will as stated include a discussion of her stepson Hunter, who has had personal ups and downs and legal troubles that have been the source of much public scrutiny during the Biden administration. Around this topic, online sources have also highlighted past issues between him and his stepmother, former First Lady Jill. This has only fueled more rumors that the memoir could be focused on family dynamics and difficult points of contention that have all occurred out of the public eye.
