Days of Our Lives (2005)
Donald Trump’s appearance on Days of Our Lives remains one of his most widely discussed television cameos, largely because of the events surrounding it. The scene itself was a brief part of a crossover tied to The Apprentice, reflecting Trump’s visibility as a television personality at the time. However, the cameo later drew renewed attention after the release of the Access Hollywood recording in 2016, which was made while Trump was preparing for that appearance. The tape, which captured controversial remarks about women, turned an otherwise minor soap opera cameo into a moment frequently referenced in discussions of Trump’s media career and political rise.
WrestleMania 23 (2007)
Surprisingly, Trump’s last and most chaotic cameo was at WrestleMania 23, and not some soapy rom-com set in New York. The setup was wonderfully ridiculous: Trump and WWE boss Vince McMahon each picked a wrestler to fight for them, just like the good old medieval times. Trump chose Bobby Lashley, McMahon chose Umaga. The loser’s overlord would have his head shaved, so the stakes were high. Unfortunately, Lashley won, which meant McMahon had to shave his head in the middle of the ring.
