Everything we know about the new Drake album ICEMAN

ICEMAN, the Toronto rapper’s first solo album since 2024’s “The Heart Part 6,” dropped recently. Drake made the announcement about the new album in a grandiose manner, as is typical of him. It began with commissioning a giant ice sculpture in Downtown Toronto, a nod to Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson, who is renowned for his large-scale installation art that employs elemental materials. Cleverly hidden in the ice was the release date. Not surprisingly, Drake fans on social media went nuts.

Why announce the news via ice sculpture in Toronto?

Honestly, this is just what Drake does. He’s a stunt queen. He understands that the most effective way to generate buzz about his albums is to make a big spectacle. And since Toronto is his hometown, it makes sense that it would feature in his iconography and life story. Furthermore, after the fallout from his disastrous rap battle with Kendrick Lamar, which many argue damaged his credibility and commercial invincibility, it was crucial for him to tone down his actions, and what better place to do it than in the city that loves him unconditionally?
