That broader narrative did not come about in a vacuum, though. In December of 2025, Minaj made a very surprising appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmeriFest located in Phoenix. At the event, she praised President Trump and Vice President Vance while having an onstage discussion with Erika Kirk.
