9. Mance Rayder
Technically, we’re supposed to view Mance as an antagonist because he’s one of the dreaded Freefolk, the race of people who live beyond the Wall. But what we discover is that he’s a realist who understands that forcing his way through Castle Black is the only way his people can survive, countering Jon’s naive belief that an agreement can be achieved through peaceful means.
