7 Actors Who Were Cancelled By Hollywood (3 of 4)

Isaiah Washington

Washington spent the first decade and a half doing bit roles in movies and TV shows but caught his big break in 2005 as Dr. Preston Burke on Grey’s Anatomy. His career was going so well that he even won two NAACP Image Awards as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award. But things went decidedly south in 2006 after he was accused of using an anti-gay slur against co-star T.R. Knight, who at the time of the incident had not publicly come out. Washington’s contract was not renewed, and while he did return to the show in 2014 for a one-episode guest appearance, his controversial words killed his career.

Megan Fox

One of the hottest young sex symbols of the early 2000s, Megan Fox seemingly landed the role of a lifetime when she was cast as Sam Witwicky’s girlfriend Mikaela Barns in the first two live-action Transformers movies in 2007 and 2009. But accusations of difficult behavior on set (including claims that she called director Michael Bay “Hitler,” which she denies), got her fired from the subsequent movies. Defenders claim that overexposure and a lack of opportunities to showcase her acting range, particularly her comedic abilities, led to Fox’s shunned status.
