Katherine Heigl
A child model from the age of 9, a career in acting wasn’t necessarily Heigl’s highest aspiration. Indeed, she attended public high school in New Canaan, Connecticut, up through 16, with modeling remaining her priority until she began to land bigger acting roles in Hollywood. Her big breakout came in 2005 when she was cast as medical intern Izzie Stephens on Grey’s Anatomy, which was subsequently followed up by the highly successful 2007 romantic comedy Knocked Up. But her criticism of the movie (she described it as “a little sexist”) and disagreements with the producers of Grey’s Anatomy over the direction of her character derailed her career for several years. She has since made a comeback and even reunited with the cast of Grey’s Anatomy during the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2024.

Corey Feldman
Corey Feldman, who got his major start on Friday, the 13th, and Gremlins at the age of 12, has been an outspoken advocate regarding the alleged pervasive nature of the sexual abuse of child actors. Industry figures have shunned and discredited him, he claims. However, as is often the case, there is more to the story. Feldman struggled with drug addiction in the past, and he has been accused of sexual misconduct himself; as a result, his career has been relegated to reality shows and such.
