Blue Ivy’s Dance Reign Begins
When Blue Ivy performed Be Alive with Beyoncé at the Oscars in 2022, we saw the beginnings of her dance era. At the age of ten, she was already exhibiting amazing skills, confidence, and stage awareness, fitting right in with more experienced professional dancers.
However, during the 2023 Renaissance World Tour, she had her true breakthrough. Blue made an unexpected appearance when the tour paused in Paris, performing “My Power” and “Black Parade” choreography to tens of thousands of spectators. At the age of eleven, she commanded the stage as if she had been doing it all her life (which is technically true).
In 2024, Blue took it to a whole new level when she danced at Beyoncé’s NFL halftime show during the Christmas Day Texans-Ravens game. The performance reached nearly 27 million viewers, many of whom had never seen the young performer before. That changed quickly with millions of posts on Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram exploding with fan cams and praise for Blue’s sick moves.
Now, in 2025, she’s become pretty much a staple of the Cowboy Carter tour. She’s not just a featured guest—she’s part of the show’s identity. Fans are showing up early just to catch her performance, and her center-stage placement is proof Beyoncé trusts her with the spotlight.
A Grammy Winner Before Puberty
Before any of the dancing, Blue Ivy was already breaking records. She was featured on “Brown Skin Girl,” Beyoncé’s love letter to Black beauty. The track, and its equally powerful video, earned Blue an actual award, and not one of those “participation awards,” mind you—a freaking Grammy! This made her the second youngest person ever to win one. She also became the youngest BET Award recipient and the youngest MTV VMA winner in history.
