9. Izzie Stevens — Grey’s Anatomy
Funny, caring, and fiercely loyal to her patients. These were the defining traits of Izzie that endeared her to audiences. At least in the beginning. But questionable decisions like breaking medical ethics, her baffling romance with George, and the bizarre ghost lover plotline sank her character. Heck, even Katherine Heigl, who portrayed Izzie, got to a point where she pretty much had to distance herself from the character.
8. Piper Chapman — Orange Is the New Black
Piper started out as the relatable outsider in prison, but as the ensemble cast grew stronger, she began to fade into irrelevance. Her tendency to enter into toxic relationships, along with her selfish choices, didn’t impress the show’s fans very much. The nail in the coffin was when she aligned herself with a white supremacist group. Reflecting on Piper, Taylor Schilling admitted that as time went along, her actions often felt random and out of character.
