Triple H
Two of the biggest names in WWE history had a series of epic matches against each other over the years. Indeed, Triple H, known in real life as Paul Levesque, faced off either one-on-one or as members of opposing teams a total of 73 times from 1996 to 2002! But any attempt at a cordial relationship was hindered by one-sided jealousy on the part of Levesque. But in fairness, Levesque had spent two years training to become a wrestler, toiled in the indies circuit for another two years, spent a year in the WCW, and then took almost two additional years to make a name for himself in the WWF. Meanwhile, the Rock forged that same path to success in a mere eight months. Fast forward more than two decades later, and it’s widely known that they still dislike each other.
Randy Orton
Orton is another WWE wrestling rival who has had no-so-nice things to say about Dwayne Johnson. When comparing and contrasting the Rock to Cena, Orton stated in a 2011 ESPN interview that Cena was great at writing his own material and improvising, whereas Johnson fully depended on the writing team to come up with his stuff. Much like other wrestlers, Orton was also critical of Johnson seemingly prioritizing his film career over wrestling, something he said ended up getting him in trouble with the WWE brass.
