7 Movies With An All-Female Cast That You Need To Watch Now (4 of 4)

Mean Girls

Written and starring Tina Fey, a legitimately funny woman, “Mean Girls” is one of the quintessential chick flicks from the 2000s. It features Lindsey Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, and the always delightful Amanda Seyfried, who was recently named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential Women of 2022 because she has that kind of control over people. They crapped out a direct-to-TV sequel in 2011, which features none of the original cast because we can all agree it would be silly and embarrassing to still be in high school in your mid-20s.

The Heat

“The Heat” is one of those rare female cop buddy movies, but that’s precisely why it was such a huge hit. Starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, the movie was criticized for its predictable formulaic plot, but praised for the acting skills of the two lead actresses. Ultimately, the film made around $230 million worldwide on a $43 million budget. Not too shabby!
