The 8 Most Expensive Homes Owned By Famous Americans

Have you always dreamed of owning a home that’s worth tens of millions of dollars or even a hundred million? It’s simple, really. Just found a software company that billions of people use, or come up with a movie idea that is beloved by millions of dorks, dweebs, or nerds. With that in mind, here’s a look at the 8 most expensive celebrity-owned homes on the planet!

1. Bill Gates’ ‘Xanadu 2.0’ in the Seattle Suburbs — $125 Million

Now that we know Bill Gates is kind of a creepy dude, his reputation has taken quite a hit. But it doesn’t change the fact that his wealth is greater than the GDP of a whole lot of countries and he knows how to spend it. At $125 million, his mega-mansion Xanadu 2.0 is completely ridiculous. Gates has his own personal man-made river to catch fresh salmon, and he had a bunch of sand shipped in from the Caribbeans because of course.

2. George Clooney’s 18th Century Villa in Italy — $100 Million

Given that Clooney has homes all over the world, including in Los Angeles, Mexico, France, and Italy, he has to deal with a question that the rest of us can’t really relate to: which of his multi-million dollar mansions is the awesomest? We’re going to go with the one in Laglio. It’s got everything nobody really needs, including a room devoted to eating pizza (because Italy) and an outdoor theater because screw walls and ceilings.

3. George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch in California — $100 Million

This gigantic mansion is also valued at $100 million and aside from serving as the Star Wars creator’s home, it was also home to his production company. Other features include a vineyard, 300-seat theater, honey farm, and vast meadows for his farm animals and (presumably) Ewoks to live their best days.
