8 On-Screen Friends Who Despised Each Other Off-Screen (2 of 3)

Samantha Sex And The City, Tableware, Drinkware

Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker

Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker never got along during their 6 seasons of shooting “Sex and the City,” but things got real when it was insinuated that Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones, was the reason the much anticipated “Sex and the City 3” never got off the ground. Then things got real when Parker publicly expressed sympathy when Cattrall’s brother Chris unexpectedly died in February 2018. Cattrall got pretty catty about that. It probably comes as no surprise that she’s not participating in the SATC reboot.

R2d2 Star Wars, R2-d2

Kenny Baker and Anthony Daniels

Although C-3PO frequently got irritated by the antics of R2-D2 in the “Star Wars” movies, it was clear they were each other’s droid soulmates. But as for the actors behind them, Antony Daniels (the one who spoke like a British butler) and Kenny Baker (the trash can that beeps), this was definitely not the case. Over the years, Baker frequently voiced his displeasure over the fact that Daniels wasn’t more social with the cast, never quite figuring out his deal. To his credit, when Baker passed away in 2016, Daniels took to Twitter to pay his respects.

George Takei Star Trek, Forehead, Nose, Cheek, Chin, Mouth, Jaw

William Shatner and George Takei

William Shatner is famously a prick, so it’s not a surprise that George Takei has spent more than 50 years hating on the guy. For instance, in his 1994 autobiography, Takei claimed Shatner would pretend not to know who he was on set. For his part, Shatner suggested that Takei was rarely around anyway (suggesting that Sulu was a minor role). Captain Kirk was not pleased when he didn’t get invited to Takei’s wedding in 2008, although Takei prefers to blame the USPS for not delivering.
