Hilary Duff And Jason Walsh As Pilgrim And Native American
In October 2016, Duff and her then-boyfriend took their relationship public at the Casamigos Halloween Party and caused a lot of stairs for all the wrong reasons. Duff decided it would be a good idea to dress as a sexy pilgrim and for Walsh to dress like a Native American chief.
Duff apologized of course which is fine, but it all comes back to what we’ve said earlier. It’s better to avoid this theme entirely unless you are Native American yourself. It wasn’t good in 2016 and it’s definitely not good today.
Luann De Lesseps As Diana Ross
The Real Housewives of New York City star dressed as Diana Ross in 2017. The problem is another case of blackface with shots of her wearing dark face makeup in order to pull the look off.
The idea was to do a tribute to Ross as De Lesseps explained in April 2018 since this only required her to wear bronzer to pull off the look. Nevertheless, she apologized on the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen show, stating she has a lot of respect for Diana Ross.
