In 2014, the British singer dressed up as a gynecologist, which is fine in most circumstances. Medical professionals are pretty fair play. The issue was that Allen chose to make a statement about this to mock producer Dr. Luke and Kesha’s ongoing sexual assault lawsuit.
And that obviously isn’t very good.

The Pretty Little Liars star got slammed on Instagram after people saw a picture of her dressed in a lion outfit. Similar to Allen, dressing as an animal in this case is usually a fair game. Issues only arise when it is referencing something and it’s very clear what it was.
In the case of Benson, this was in 2015 and the caption was referencing Cecil the Lion who was shot by poachers. Benson later apologized, stating that her management team were the ones who captioned the picture with her permission.
Harry Hamlin As Sid Vicious

The Veronica Mars alum also sparked controversy in 2015 when attending a party dressed as the Sex Pistols’ late rocker Sid Vicious. The outfit of choice though got him to be wearing a leather jacket and a red shirt with a swastika on it. His wife, Lisa Rinna dressed as Vicious’ girlfriend, Nancy Spungen, though later they apologized for the shirt.
