This instance of getting caught is so niche. It’s very odd for a book about yoga to set off your suspicions. It’s hard to imagine that something so mundane meant something so serious. It’s fun to imagine how that interaction went. Did he try to claim it as his own? Or did he immediately confess to it belonging to someone else? And even if it wasn’t his, it could have been anyone: his mother, sister, friend etc. This girl was just waiting for something to give this boy away.

It’s a good thing the guy checked. He probably thought it was a parking ticket until turning it over to read it. It’s anyone’s guess how elaborate the confessional note was.
