Dogs That Got Weird for the Camera (4 of 6)

Look All You Want, I’m Invisible…But I Also Smell Food

It’s always interesting to see where your pampered pooches choose to play. Almost every dog owner has found their friend in an unexpected, and sometimes unlikely, hiding place at one time or another. Not every dog is a great hider, though. But did you know that there’s an entire group of dogs that are considered master hunters?

These pups have the instinct to sniff out their targets and even help their owners find the ideal hiding place for whatever is being searched for. To get into the mind of a hider, some hunters may just have to pretend to be one, though. Maybe that’s the case with the phantom nose here on the couch? That or a bag of treats was just opened and they just lost this round of hide and see!

Is It Part Fainting Goat?

Our pets can be VERY expressive when they want to be. The dramatics of having to take a bath is almost soap opera worth. This is a pretty extreme reaction to most situations, but, what if this is all strategy? Maybe this kid sleeps this way to keep the couch to himself! The half-goat half-drama queen is fine in this picture.

Some types of herding dog can fall asleep in weird positions, or appear to be light sleepers. This might be because they’re trained to watch over and protect ranches. That doesn’t mean this sleeping beauty isn’t out light a light, though. They probably had a ruff day full of moos, oohs, and aahs!

OMG, THE CAMERA JUST TURNED ON!?

The age of the influencer has brought us into a new age of advertisement, celebrity, and weird animal trends. We started at duck lips, did some owling, and now we’re at shepherd smirks! It looks like this lil’ beauty blogger is getting ready to be the next sensation! That or they’re just asking if they have some kibble in their teeth.

Seriously, we would follow this lovable derp in a heartbeat! It’s not just a one-time thing, either. Maybe they were mimicking their friend. While dogs don’t smile the same way people do, they can try to mimic a human smile, or even feel more relaxed when they see someone else smiling!

The Most Reverend Archbishop of Pawsbury

Everyone journeys to find their calling in life and every path makes them stronger than yesterday. Some people become great entertainers. Some cats become spokesmodels. Some truly pious pooches find that they are called to a more holy of paths. This beautiful regalia actually showcases Rodney’s standing in the Pawpalcy. Now he’s ready to officiate weddings, lead a sermon at the dog park, or just spread cuteness to the masses!

This may not even be his most elaborate look! Pet costumes make up 15% of all costumes sold in the United States each year. The rise of social media really boosted the business and helped create famous pets all around the world! In fact, with a little more elaborate on a backdrop, this faithful friend could probably get their own online show!

They Said Taste The Rainbow!

The wallberries taste like wallberries, the floorberries taste like floorberries, the wallpaper tastes like wallpaper! What an absolute feast! This is the best appetizer before he tears into the toilet paper. No matter if this dog thinks he’s winning the ultimate snack factory, or he just has really bad depth perception, nobody better ruin his fun! However, maybe encouraging them to nibble on the wall isn’t the best idea before dinner.

Labradors are a family favorite for a reason. With their fun personality and goofy grins, there’s no misunderstanding why these pups are considered the most popular breed in the United States for almost thirty years! In fact, back in 2018 there were over 88,000 registered labs. If they all work together they’ll definitely catch that rainbow!

Ha, Ha, Look, I’m a Whale!

Life imitates art, art imitates life, cats imitate jerks, and dogs imitate whales. The circle of life keeps revolving and we all learn a thing or two along the way. We’ll name this inspiring pup Willy, because he obviously isn’t afraid to breach on land and live their truth as an aspiring whale! Hopefully, nobody tells him that the statue isn’t the real deal.

They’re so devoted to their dream that they’ve even made sure to get similar colors of the killer whale statue. Now that’s dedication! It’s not a far-fetched notion for a dog to want to crave life in the water. Some breeds are specifically bred to be great swimmers, and in fact, some dogs are better swimmers than humans. So be free, Willy! May the waves be your kingdom!

Teamwork Makes The Beans Warm!

Having one dog is fun, having two is a whole different adventure! While your responsibilities double (and maybe your food bills, too) knowing that your family pet will never be alone when you’re out of the house is some peace of mind that just warms the heart. Maybe they’ll even become best friends! That, or one becomes furniture for the other to stay comfortable on.

Having a sibling teaches humans and pets how to share and get along well with others, not to mention which one of you makes for a better chair. It’s hard to feel bad for the underdog (literally) since they look just as comfortable as their perched pal! But we wonder what happens when he has to get up to go outside?

This Is Your Brain On Treats

It’s common knowledge that children like to imitate their parents. Another well known fact is that our pets often start copying us after a while. The more active we are, the more enthusiastic our puppers are to jump and run! If you’re more of a couch potato, well, don’t be surprised if you come home to find your dog like this.

As long as they’re happy and healthy, this may not be a bad thing. Though, coming home to your dog sleeping upright like they passed out during work doesn’t make for the best sight. Maybe it’s time to set a good example for your pup, otherwise, the two of you might get caught up in those Netflix binges!

Petey the Pit Thinks He’s a Parrot!

Everyone thought from time to time about becoming a pirate and sailing the open seas. However, if you don’t have access to a ship, parrot, or massive ocean at your disposal; then a tupperware full of water, a full sink, and your trusty heavy grey pup on your shoulder! Sometimes a sea shanty is more fun with a dog, even if they think they could talk for a cracker!

This ultra-lovable canine seems to think he could navigate the trusty bowl from the sink all the way to the fridge! Either way, that’s a pretty impressive job to leap from the floor to the window like that. Did you know that these pooches can actually climb over ten feet? That’s a fact you can set sail with!

Can’t Go To The Gym? Make One Yourself!

Some dogs are more muscular than others thanks to how varied each breed can be! However, sometimes it seems that others may be spending some time doing chest and core days down the street! Too bad 2020 stooped people from going to the gym. Never fear though, sometimes a pup just has to get resourceful to keep up their schedule.

This K-9 welterweight won’t let staying at home get him down. Instead, it looks like they took a break from some housekeeping to pull out their bed and take care of their daily crunches. Now that’s what we call dedication! Those extra milk-bones probably go straight into their daily protein shake!

Sit Down, We Need to Talk

“It has come to my attention that we have been out of treats for a full thirty minutes. When we brought you on to service in my court we had a strict agreement. I’m not mad, just disappointed. Please get this done by the end of the day and we’ll pretend this talk never happened. Now please tell the cat I’m reading for our eleven o’clock zoomies. That’s all.”

It’s not hard to find our pets copying our facial expressions after enough time together. Whether it’s a raised eyebrow, the way we blink, or how we can balance a treat on our nose before tossing and catching it in our mouths, our pets are part of our family, so soon we all start to share each other’s ticks. When they start copying our business poses though, maybe it’s time to get off that livestream and go toss the ball around.
