Dogs That Got Weird for the Camera (3 of 6)

Look At Me, I’m Helping!
Some dogs want to spend as much quality time as possible. With more people working from home nowadays, this is a great time for the pups to pick up some new skills and help contribute to mom and dad’s work! That might be true in theory, but working on a computer is a lot more complicated when you don’t have thumbs. That won’t stop this determined husky from trying to pull its own weight.

Even when not typing away at a lightning pace like his dad, that smile shows us that this good boy wants nothing more than to be as close to the action as possible. Thankfully, the office manager doesn’t seem to mind the interruption all too much. Besides, office dogs help reduce stress and let us take great pics for the company website!
M.C. Escher’s Dog Is Making Us Think Twice About This Picture
It’s no surprise that people and their pets begin to take on similar traits once they spend a long time together. Some develop similar hair styles, others have the same adorable smile. While some seem to develop a taste for creating confusing and thought-provoking graphic art that will one day hang in every school mathematics class.

No, you’re not seeing this picture from the side. That would mean in addition to being a master of perspective shots, this fido can also balance a full-size dog bed on their snout! Instead, you’re seeing a dog who may have forgotten how floors, beds, and maybe even gravity, actually work. Hey, whatever’s comfortable and earns you a treat, are we right?
Woah Man, The Sky is So Blue…
Nature is a beautiful and integral part of life. To really appreciate the beauty of the world around us, sometimes you have to get as far away from the city as you can and just lay back and take in all of the open-air. That, or, you can have an existential crisis over how much space there actually is.

This hiking hound looks like they just realized how big the sky really is! That, or, they saw this log and are concerned with how to get it back in the car for the trip home. Either way, sometimes the perfect picture involves a little photo-bombing from your best friend, even if they look like they have some big questions as to what’s going on.
Now It’s Your Turn to Try It
Crate training the family dog has a ton of benefits. Whether it’s to protect the house from destruction when we’re out, or helping your pup learn that it’s their safe space to relax amidst the chaos of being a house dog, crates are a great way to give your dog its own personal space. The problem is some pups want to share their home with us, regardless if we fit or not.

But maybe something else is going on here because this looks like a trick. Maybe Rover is trying to lock up mom and dad so they can finally get their paws on the treats they hid in the kitchen! Or maybe house training works both ways and someone needs to show them where not to put the puppy pad.
Ugh, Thanks, I Just Needed a Break
No matter where you come from, bringing a life into the world is a beautiful, awe-inspiring, and incredible act. It’s also extremely exhausting and can drain even the most resilient new-parents of whatever energy they had stored up. We didn’t realize that pups can also feel this type of stress!

Just like most big changes in life, stress can appear in the weirdest forms, even for the family pet! Adjusting to a new baby takes time, but even dogs have been shown to tap into maternal and pack-instincts and bond with new infants just like the parents do! So it may look ruff now, but don’t worry, it’ll be all smiles and licks soon enough.
What? You Let The Cat Do it!
Everyone knows the time-tested adage for cats: “If I fits, I sits.” Don’t believe us? Grab an empty box or container, place it near your cat, and see if they decide that’s their new favorite spot (until you decide to move it)! Maybe this dog is taking cues from its furry friend and wanted to see what all the yowling was about!

Just like the family feline, we wonder if this basket is full of clean laundry, or if the dog is being a bit more considerate and going for an empty basket? Maybe it’s just really cold and they’re looking for a bit of warmth? Did you know that dogs actually sleep curled up to preserve body heat?
So Cute We Could Gobble (Gobble) Them Up!
Yes, we just said dogs curl up to sleep. That doesn’t mean they don’t sploot out at random moments when they get into just the right position! Sometimes that position even reveals that they’re part-turkey! Look at those little drumsticks just gobbling for attention! Instead of a camera-hog, we have a camera-fowl on our paws that’s napping its way into our hearts.

While most adult humans need seven to nine hours of sleep a night, that’s nothing compared to sleeping beauty here. An adult French bulldog can sleep anywhere from twelve to fourteen hours a day. When they’re puppies, those numbers go up to eighteen to nineteen hours. This turkey sure is lucky to get all those naps!
We’re Never Watching Home Alone Again
Guard dogs sound great on paper: a friendly family pal that’s not afraid to defend their pack or their home. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship where everyone in the house can pull their own weight for the benefit of the family. But some dogs seem to take their responsibility as home protectors a bit too seriously. We don’t think he needs to be that vigilant all day!

Perhaps this husky is actually REALLY devoted to their job. Instead of just guarding the house they’ve decided to start a one-dog neighborhood watch service! Maybe now your neighbor will finally close their blinds when showering. This pup’s hard work may even get him inducted into the neighborhood watch group!
Sometimes Seeking is Easier Than Hiding
Some of our favorite games to play with our dogs are classics. Fetch, frisbee, tug-o-war, these are everyone’s go-tos. However, some people, and pups, love to play hide-and-seek! But just because you love the game, doesn’t mean that it’s easy. Bless this lapdog’s heart, they just don’t completely match that pillow well enough to win this round.

Some people are better at hiding than seeking, but this playful dog just can’t seem to get the hang of it. That’s okay though because with a face like that, they probably lose every game. Who wouldn’t want to find them? This is also a one-of-a-kind pillow chameleon because having two different colored eyes (heterochromia) is pretty rare!
Yes, Hi, My Order Arrived Without Any Bones…
Dogs have been melting out hearts for hundreds of years! Who doesn’t love coming home to a tail-wagging, happily slobbering bundle of love? In fact, some dogs do more than just lick, they want to cuddle and be as close as possible to you at all times! The problem is, dogs aren’t liquid, so they can’t really fit into any space they want!

Well, may not all dogs…This one seems to have poured themself right into their owner’s lap for some cuddling! However, when you look like a furry pile of dough, maybe a little kneading is what’s really called for. These extra flaps of skins that give certain breeds their tell-tale wrinkles around their faces are called jowls! They exist to actually protect your pup’s mouth!
It’s Been A Ruff Week
You wake up early, get your work done for the day, do some cleaning, get meals ready, and by the time you can rest, you have to do it all again! Weekdays can be super stressful on even the best organized multi-taskers, but just like this dog, sometimes all we want to do is lay on the floor and go ptttthhhhhpppttt!

This gorgeous rescue pup is obviously over the week as much as we are. That doesn’t mean they can’t provide some fun laughs and a chuckle to brighten your day! Her tongue naturally sticks out due to not having many teeth left, but she’s still always wagging her tail and happy to see her family when they come home from the office.
