Another Dog Day In Summer

It baffles us why some people don’t love the summer. Sun’s out, beach days are here, and the koi ponds are sprouting dogs. We’re not sure how the science works but just look at this proof. This beautiful specimen of dogplant is known as the “Completely Over It Retriever”. Well, at least that’s what we’re thinking. Plant or animal, this pup looks completely done with the heat.

A day at the pool is a nice way to unwind. Sometimes when there’s not enough space, you gotta take charge and dive in. This dog looks like they just need a few minutes to themselves. Sometimes the summer gets ruff.
  

Hark, I See Someone Approaching!

Dogs are excellent companions. They’re always so eager to please. Some of them are even adept at protecting the entire family. To do so they need to always be on the watch. Who knows what trespassers might do? That works for the tall ones in the guard. If you’re the shorter best friend, the scenario may be a bit different.

They also want to help. Instead of leading the pack, they sometimes are treated like the stepstool. Don’t let this disrespect fool you; little pups are big down in small packages. While this pair may not be the best of watchdogs, they’re at least a funny and odd couple.
  

You Leave This Angel Alone

It warms our hearts when we see businesses and people setting out water for pets. The warmer months can be a nightmare for those with fur. Every little bowl counts. There’s just one little problem: dogs can’t read. If on the off-chance they can, they take things literally. Take for instance this pup who decided to go for a quick dip.

While the owner stands there in disbelief their dog looks absolutely chill. In their defense, the sign does say it’s for pets. It never once said this was just for drinking. Do some laps and enjoy yourself! Splash around a little too.
  

No PDAs In The Hall!

Remember in high school when everyone started making out? It happened in-between the perfectly choreographed musical numbers and lunch. Apparently, not all schools were designed like that. We all shared something in common: that one annoying couple in love. They were always making out and causing a scene. They’d been dating for like forever (aka three weeks). One of them was always in one of your classes.

    When they weren’t apart they were permanently glued to one another. It’s a wonder how they’re even breathing properly. Yeah, these two are that couple. What makes this cuter is that they fell asleep like this! Love is a strong bond indeed.
  

Who’s The Happiest Horror Show Ever?

Novelty toys are either corny, inappropriate, or horrifying. There’s no other category and anyone who says otherwise is wrong. Take a gander at this pup. Look at their beautiful fur and 70s game show host smile. These dentures are a punishment sent from the Joker.

It‘s obvious this dog is about to terrorize Gotham and give Batcat a true rival. Who allowed this to happen? While this may be a bit frightening, it’s also adorable. Look at how happy this gal is! Nothing beats a day in the water. As long as they’re happy, that’s what matters. Though you might want to play fetch with a ball that has a little less teeth!
  

Ethan, Please Stop Making A Scene

All dogs have their lazy days. It’s important to make sure not to forget to walk as much as you can, though. Some pets may oblige us, but others know when they’re done. The problem is, when they don’t want to walk they can be Oscar-worthy levels of dramatic. Like, “Best Performance Ever” awards should be given to them. Who even taught them this?

Look, acting extra isn’t helping. We understand it’s hot. Hey, we don’t like doing it all the time, either, but you don’t have to make such a scene. We’re in this together (right after we post this pic)! Please stop. The neighbors are watching.
  

I Found All The Socks, And They’re Mine

Laundry is one of the easiest yet time-consuming chores there is. This multi-step project can require a big machine, a clothesline, an iron, and all sorts of other equipment to get your clothes back to pristine and wearable condition. However, what do you do when some of your clothes just go missing…or stay covered in fur after the wash?

Do you call a repairman? Nope, you just head over to the dryer to find your favorite furball curled up on a pile of socks that you thought were eaten by the machine! Hey, we can’t blame them for getting comfortable, that fresh-out-of-the-dryer feeling when you grab some warm clothes can be hard to beat!
  

I Take Of-FENCE to Being Called an Amateur

Remember that movie where the golden retriever learned to play basketball? What about the one where he turns into a baseball star? Don’t forget about the flick where the goldie learns to play football! It’s obvious that these are some smart canines! That doesn’t mean every sport is the right fit for them, though.

This pup obviously was trying to be the first golden retriever to win a medal in fencing. That, or, maybe they’re trying to find a creative way to tend their growing bee-keeping business! Either way, they tried their hardest, but it looks like it’s time to ask for just a bit of help (after all, dinner’s almost ready)!
  

He’s The Best Big Spoon Ever

After a long day of being forced to interact with other humans, many people just want to come home, crawl into bed, and forget about the world. Thankfully our furry family friends pick up on our mood and help us calm down and get ready for an evening of cuddling and rest. Not all of them prefer to be the little spoon though.

This is why it’s best to have ‘the conversation’ with your dog before you decide to move in together. While a bit unorthodox, sometimes being the little spoon to a bulldog has its advantages. If you live in a cold place, those jowls and drooly tongue may help you stay warm during the chilly winter nights.

We don’t advise giving your dog fava beans and chianti, no matter how much they beg. They may even try to impress you with their best Silence of the Lambs impression. Don’t budge! No matter how cute they are, some pups just have a bad case of WSF: Weird Sleeping Face.

    Taking a pet on road trips can be super fun! The whole family jumps into the car and you all take off to a brand new destination. Along the way though, someone’s bound to nod off and we all know the first to sleep gets a goofy picture taken! Some suggest that dogs enjoy riding in cars because they can understand that they’ll end up in a brand new and exciting place! If that’s the case, this pup was so happy he fell asleep mid-laugh!
  

Look At My Human Impression!

Dogs are highly receptive animals. While many think they’re nowhere near as smart as those judgemental felines, they’re actually incredibly intelligent. They also do a great impression of a human if you give them enough time. Look at this little guy doing his best thinking pose! Even without elbows and thumbs, she’s really nailed how silly we all look when we’re about to have an epiphany.

While the pose may say, “I’m thinking about something serious” that lazy smile and twinkle in her eyes says, “This is how dumb you look but I still love you for it.”. No matter how sarcastic they get, at the end of the day, our pups just want to make us smile and give them treats for tolerating our weird mannerisms.
