A New Beginning

Allison was now able to make the most out of her college education and also train hard, allowing her to take part in more events where she could test herself against the very best. She looked set to achieve what she set out for.

Studying and trying to be successful as a pole vaulter at the same time can be challenging. This young sportswoman still pursued and excelled at both! She was great at sociology and earned herself a master’s degree, while also continuing her rigorous training to get better at the sport she loved so much.

Naturally, it was soon when she jumped and broke her previous records, and entered the list of elite pole vaulters in the US, entering the top 10.

The Dream

Allison was slowly and steadily getting better at her sport every year, and she naturally started to dream big. Quite the same as any other athlete who aimed to become a pro athlete, she wanted to make it to the Olympics.

After graduating from college, Allison became even more rigorous with her training. She not only kept breaking her personal best score, but she also aimed higher every passing session to make it to the next Olympics.

Allison was focused on her sports goal, and put in all the effort she could muster into making her jumps higher, and it showed its results – she was able to make a jump of 14 feet 3 ½ inches!

Was that just enough to take her to the Olympics?

Disappointment For Allison

The year was 2012, and like every other athlete in the world, Allison was trying her best to make it to the London Olympics. Allison had a dream of representing her country, like other athletes, and wanted to win a medal for the United States. After all, it was a competition most athletes could only dream of being a part of!

Unfortunately, it ended as just a dream for Allison. Even though she was able to make a jump of over 14 feet earlier, she couldn’t manage to do the same at the qualifications and therefore, couldn’t qualify for the Olympics. She, along with a dozen others, missed turning their dream into reality.

Did the stress of the big stage get to her, or was it the effect of all the trouble she had gone through because of the unwanted fame that affected her performance? Well, we will never know, but the dream of making it to the Olympics was done and dusted for Allison.

Trying Something Else

Allison soon figured out that dwelling on her failure would only affect her life even more. She had to try and move on in order to see what else was waiting for her in her life. While pole vaulting was her one and only goal, the Olympic qualification failure led her to try something new in life. After all, there are tons of other things to do in life!

This is when she finally made up her mind to try modeling gigs with multiple sports brands who had been constantly asking her to do so for years. Allison wasn’t quite a big fan of the fame and limelight, because of that previous episode from her life, this was different. For starters, she was the one who consented to click these photographs. She went for some photoshoots and unsurprisingly, she got success at this job.

Allison decided to take a short break in the year 2015 from her pole vaulting career and began focusing more on modeling, after getting to work with giants such as Athleta and Nike.

Trying GoPro

A GoPro camera is a popular action camera that people use from all across the globe. The company got in touch with Allison, and she was excited to be a part of such an exciting project.

Allison was an immensely popular name in the sports modeling industry, so this was expected.

Honestly, there aren’t many people who get a chance to be on a GoPro project. The firm wanted Allison to help them in showing the world of pole vaulting from close quarters, showing how it really feels from the point of view of a vaulter, or how it looks from the bar.

They worked hard on the project and were able to compile an impressive short video where they showcased everything you know about pole vaulting, but from close quarters. People were impressed with this footage, apart from Allison’s brilliance as a pole vaulter. After all, she was an elite sportswoman.

What Next?

The following year, Allison worked on even more sports modeling projects. Even though she was still an active athlete and found joy in pole vaulting, it was relaxing for her to do something else on the side, too. And it was great for her and everyone else, who got to be inspired by her amazing fitness levels.

After a successful project with GoPro, Allison also partnered with Uniqlo, a brand known for sportswear and wearable accessories, apart from casualwear.

Uniqlo organized a photoshoot with Allison and captured some impressive photos and videos of the athlete, showing her in their sportswear as she ran on the beach. Naturally, the clip instantly became popular and the brand witnessed huge sales!

Romance Time

Allison had spent most of her time trying to be a successful pole vaulter or studies. Now that she was already successful in life, she was looking for something new. The internet was filled with her name all over again, however, in this particular instance, it wasn’t one of her photos or her success as a pole vaulter.

There were rumors in 2016 that Allison was dating Rickie Fowler. Was that really true? Fans of Allison were desperate to know the truth behind this, and were eager for any details about the relationship if it was indeed true.

The two of them were spotted together multiple times, and they even shared each other’s pictures on Instagram. But that wasn’t any solid proof that the two of them were dating.

Allison certainly isn’t the person to submit to failure so easily, so the elite pole vaulter began her training again and is trying her level best to get a shot at representing her country at the Olympics.

She hired a new coach for herself and continues to take part in various pole vaulting events and competitions. After all, she was born to be a sports-star!
