Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra took charge of her career and got herself enrolled in modeling classes when she was just 12. She participated in several beauty contests and, at the age of 14, she made it to the finalists of Elite Model Look, a countrywide competition among budding models.
Not only has Alessandra walked for huge brands such as Dolce and Gabbana, or Balmain, she is most popular for her work as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. As surprising as this may sound, she has walked for a whooping 17 runway shows for the world-renowned brand and the previous year’s show was her final walk.
Rosie Huntington Whitely
Rosie’s walk is as breathtaking as her looks and we are glad that the Profile Model Management agency noticed that and got her in for their New Faces. She made her New York Fashion Week debut in 2004 by walking for Vivienne Tam.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel has been seen on several magazine covers and has also been in campaigns of various popular brands such as those of Givenchy, Burberry, Balmain, Dolce and Gabbana, and the like.
Karlie Kloss

Before she became a common face at major fashion shows, Karlie did her first runway for a charity fashion show in Missouri, her hometown. When she was 15, she made her big debut at the New York Fashion Week by showcasing garments from Calvin Klein.
She divulged to CBS that it was in a mall that she was discovered as a model. In fact, she had never even been on a plane prior to that.
As of now, Karlie has been seen in almost every major runway show across different continents.
Along with this, she has also been roped in by several brands such as Diane von Furstenberg, and Oscar de la Renta. Moreover, in the year 2015, Kloss collaborated with Flatiron School, as well as Code.org and created a program called Kode with Klossy. It is a scholarship program to aid young girls who have interests in computer science to pursue their dreams.
Christie Brinkley
Out of all the models in this listing, Christie’s discovery is most interesting. As she said in an interview with WWD, it was thanks to her dog that she became a model. It was while making a call to a veterinarian for her dog that a photographer noticed her. He offered to shoot her for a project and Brinkley agreed without a second thought. Since that shoot, she has slayed countless photoshoots and runways all around the world.
Linda Evangelista

Linda knew what she wanted to do with her career and got involved in preparing herself for it from a young age. As she disclosed to Interview in 2013, she did a modeling course at St. Catherine’s in her hometown, Ontario, Canada. She had managed to convince her mother to pay for the fees and completed the course diligently at 16. She got chosen by a Japanese agency and decided to take up the opportunity.
Linda further added that her parents were typical Italians. They wouldn’t allow her to be out after 10 pm and she could go out only either on Friday or Saturday night. Furthermore, having a boyfriend was a strict no for Evangelista. However, they allowed her to go to Japan to pursue her career. Her experience there was horrific. She was asked to shoot naked to which she blatantly denied and went back to her hometown with the help of the Canadian embassy. Her agency then encouraged her to take part in Miss Teen Niagara Pageant and thus began her journey.
As of today, she has been in about a thousand magazines and is regarded as one of the most inspirational and respected models.
