14 Fun Things To Do When It’s Raining Outside (5 of 5)

Have A Tea Party

One of the classic things to do indoors with kids is to have a tea party. Even if it used to be a girl thing at first, there’s nothing wrong with boys dressing up, setting a table with good china and behaving in a formal manner. The same can be said for adults too.

If there are kids present at the tea party, you can give them juice or cocoa instead of tea. Beyond that you can add in some egg or chicken salad, some tea sandwiches and some biscuits.

Plan Out A Vacation

The final suggestion we want to propose is to plan out a vacation. Even with the weather being gloomy outside, you can take the time now to imagine yourself in a place that’s brighter and less gloomy.

If you’ve got kids, you can get them involved in this process and make a game out of it. First, get out a map and let the kids pick out a spot that’s within your budget.

From there, get them to do research on how to get there, where to stay and what to do there.

After that, make a budget based on the cost of a hotel or rental home, and plane tickets. Afterwards, have a plan of what sites to hit, what local foods to try and then present the idea to the rest of the family.
