Harley-Davidson

Harley-Davidson stated that it would reassess all corporate sponsorships and partnerships to ensure alignment with business objectives. The company also adjusted its training programs, removing content that focused on social issues rather than job-related skills.

In addition, Harley-Davidson discontinued hiring quotas and removed diversity-based spending targets for supplier contracts.

Target

Target, which has nearly 2,000 stores and more than 400,000 employees, is discontinuing a program designed to support Black employees, enhance the Black customer experience, and promote Black-owned businesses. The retailer also announced it would no longer set DEI-related hiring and supplier diversity goals in three-year cycles, a practice it previously followed.

Additionally, Target is ending its participation in external DEI assessments, including the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index. The company’s spokesperson also stated that Target is adjusting its approach to align more closely with its broader business priorities.
